Jaguar recently unveiled its C-X75 Conceptcar. The presentation took place right before the opening of the 2010 Paris Motor Show. It is worth mentioning that the electric hybrid vehicle marks the 75th anniversary of iconic Jaguar design. In addition, Jaguar C-X75 is meant to provide a look into the future of car-making technology. The two-seater eco-friendly supercar boasts a propulsion system that combines two small micro gas turbine engines, offering 140 kW. The engines can be powered by LPG, diesel, biofuel or natural gas. Besides, the four electric motors that deliver 145 kW are connected to a lithium ion battery pack to increase the car’s range up to 900km (560 miles). Boasting zero emissions when using only battery power, Jaguar C-X75 will emit just 28 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer when running on full power. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62mph) in 3.4 seconds, having a top speed of 330kph (205mph). The vehicle also reaches 145kph from 80 kph in 2.3 seconds. Apart from being eco-friendly, the car is also very lightweight. This is because engineers made analuminum construction that makes use of over 50 percent recycled metal content. [via Autoblog Green]
