Jaguar C-X75 range-extended electric..

Jaguar recently unveiled its C-X75 Conceptcar. The presentation took place right before the opening of the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

It is worth mentioning that the electric hybrid vehicle marks the 75th anniversary of iconic Jaguar design. In addition, Jaguar C-X75 is meant to provide a look into the future of car-making technology.

The two-seater eco-friendly supercar boasts a propulsion system that combines two small micro gas turbine engines, offering 140 kW. The engines can be powered by LPG, diesel, biofuel or natural gas.

Besides, the four electric motors that deliver 145 kW are connected to a lithium ion battery pack to increase the car’s range up to 900km (560 miles).

Boasting zero emissions when using only battery power, Jaguar C-X75 will emit just 28 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer when running on full power.

It is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62mph) in 3.4 seconds, having a top speed of 330kph (205mph). The vehicle also reaches 145kph from 80 kph in 2.3 seconds.

Apart from being eco-friendly, the car is also very lightweight. This is because engineers made analuminum construction that makes use of over 50 percent recycled metal content.

Hulme CanAm offers an exotic ride with incredible power

hulme-can-am-2_QIbLf_17621
Combining the raw look of a F1 car with dramatic design and customary craftsmanship, Auckland entrepreneur Jock Freemantle collaborating with New Zealand’s Massey University has come up with a radical car that promises a thrilling driving experience. Called Hulme CanAm, after renowned New Zealand F1 champion, Denny Hulme, the high performance car is scheduled to launch (limited edition) in 2010. Generating power from a hand-built 7 liter Chevrolet V8, capable of producing 600 horsepower, the Hulme CanAm will reach the top speed of 198 MPH in less than three seconds. Just amazing! To ensure high speed and exceptional performance, the carbon fiber monocoque weights less than 1,000 kg. The Hulme CanAm comes in both track and road versions for professional as well as amateur riders. It’ll be available across Europe and the Middle East for a whopping $700,000.

Lamborghini X Concept

Emil Baddal didn’t seem to like the Lamborghini Reventon supercar, so the talent Iranian artist created his own view of the vehicle, known as the Lamborghini X Concept. Who needs a complicated branding for such a beautiful concept car?

Lamborghini X Concept Supercar, What Reventon Could Have Been...

The front of the supercar looks great, but I have to say that Lamborghini X is a tad bulky and its wheels are far too big to be practical. Also, the concept is square-ish and it lacks the sensuality and curves that were present (although a little bit) on the latest Lamborghini models.

Since Lambos are usually associated with bulls, I’d have to compare the X with a shark, simply by having a look at its front side. How many horse power would one hide under this beast’s carbon fibre chassis? Would this defeat a Veyron? How about a GTR?
